Apparently poisoned by a jealous nephew, the abolitionist and signer of the Declaration of the Independence, George Wythe was a resident of Williamsburg, Va and life-long friend of Thomas Jefferson, Wythe freed his slaves, provided support and included them in his will, which may have inspired his great-nephew's perfidy.
