J. M. Barrie Peter and Wendy New York Charles Scribner's Sons October, 1911 First VG Green cloth boards heavily and brightly gilted with the crocodile under the title, mermaids beside and little Peter Pan on top. Spine is highlty decorated with gilt picture of Captain Hook pondering atop a mountain, vines, & prancing fish, in the brightest gilt I have seen in a while. Illustrated by F. D. Bedford with 12 B&W drawings of our beloved friends' adventures in Neverland. With rough cut fore edges. A faint water stain blemishes a few pages (7 - 8 interspersed throughout) from the upper corner it spans at most, usually less, about 1 1/2 inch along the absolute corner, nowhere does it touch the text or picture. Binding is tight, corners are sharp, almost no evidence of shelfwear at all. Owners name and date of Dec. 25, 1911 on free endpaper. J.M. Barrie Quality Street London Hodder and Stoughton 1901 1913 Fine Blue cloth boards decorated with green imprints adn gold gilt. Spine is straight, tight, mildly worn at headband, barely so at tai. Top edges more bumped than bottom, and one is beginning to actually fray, spine is also mildly sunned but still bright. All 22 full color tipped in illustrations by Hugh Thomson are in place, no foxing. Edges are intact, front is bumped, else fine copy from early nineteen-hundreds. Price:
